In Cherokee's school history there has only been 3 teams that have the honor of saying they played a perfect 10-0 football season. The classes of 2010, 1968 & 1951 do. The school honored the teams at halftime as the team of 2010 played their last season game against Canton, OK. Coach Buddy Murrell was also there as the coach of the '68 team & who the Football Field is named after. Austin Hawkins, stood in for his late Grandfather, Lyle Hawkins, a member of the '51 team. Great moment!
